Enable Research is an independent online resource publishing analysis, research summaries and editorial commentary across five areas of Irish public interest – transport infrastructure, energy and climate, technology and innovation, active travel and sustainability.
The site exists to make research and analysis on these topics more accessible. Much of the most valuable work being done on Irish infrastructure and innovation sits behind academic paywalls, in government consultation documents or in technical reports that never reach a general audience. Enable Research aims to bridge that gap.
What We Cover
Our coverage spans five interconnected topic areas:
- Transport Infrastructure – roads, motorways, rail, public transport and the policy frameworks shaping how Ireland moves people and goods
- Energy and Climate – renewable energy, flooding, energy efficiency, offshore wind and Ireland’s transition away from fossil fuels
- Technology and Innovation – artificial intelligence, data centres, fintech, medtech, agritech and Ireland’s position in the global knowledge economy
- Active Travel and Outdoors – cycling, walking, greenways and the infrastructure and policy behind Ireland’s active travel push
- Sustainability and Nature – biodiversity, rewilding, the circular economy and how Ireland is managing its natural environment
Our Approach
Enable Research does not represent the views of any government body, research institution, industry group or political organisation. Content published on this site is independent editorial analysis intended for informational purposes.
We draw on publicly available research, government publications, academic output and industry reporting. Where we summarise or reference the work of others we aim to do so accurately and with appropriate attribution.
We are committed to keeping this resource free to access and free from commercial influence over editorial content.
